Packing

Is there life after packing? Is there life during packing? We have been packing for a whole week now and we are about half way done. Meaghan is coming down tomorrow to help out with the move and the baby. We are excited to see her!! We close on the new house on Wednesday. After many trials and tribulations, I think that Scenic Homes may have gotten it right. Tomorrow, the rest of the carpet is being installed (yay)! And, it is the right color. We are going to be laying tile this week and painting this weekend. You are all invited to visit our house, stop in and say hi!

Here we go!!

Well, I finally succumbed to the pressure and started a blog for our family. This will hopefully be a great way to link our family to your everyday life. Stevie is taking his first nap of the day and it is so peaceful right now. He is getting so big, we can not believe it. I bet he weighs around 24 or 25 pounds now. He is really tall and in need of a hair cut. Yes, I agree, he finally needs a hair cut. Stephen has wanted to cut his hair for a while, but I have been putting it off. I guess it is like saying that he is no longer a little baby, but a little boy.

We have a few exciting things going on. We are almost ready to close on our new house. We have some volunteers that are coming to help us out. Meaghan is coming for two weeks to help with the baby while Stephen and I lay tile flooring and a back splash in our kitchen. I also plan to get a lot of painting done while she is here. Then my mom and Maryann are coming for a weekend to help us move in and get organized. I am excited that my family is coming to help us during this time.

Today, Stevie and I are going to Tanglewood Park to have a play date with some new friends. I am getting sad because my time home with his is dwindling away. I am going back to work in a few weeks and I am excited and upset at the same time. I am excited to get back into my career and see some of my "teacher" friends. I am upset obviously because I won't spend every minute with my little monkey moo.

I am waiting for Stephen to come home. He was flying in from Atlanta last night and decided to take a voucher for free travel and fly home today. He spent the night by his sister's house and was excited to surprise her kids this morning. I am anxious for him to get home because we miss him. Stevie kept looking at Stephen's pillow this morning and said "dada" over and over again.

Well, that is all for my first entry. Hope you enjoyed it and we'll be back with stories real soon!
